About Gnosis Pay
Gnosis Pay provides the API and card-program infrastructure that enables wallets, fintechs, and businesses to issue stablecoin-powered payment cards and create custom payment flows. Partners can easily connect on-chain wallets to real-world spending.

With our technology, users can spend stablecoins directly from their on-chain wallet using a Visa debit card. Transactions are executed through a secure smart-wallet rather than a traditional bank account, allowing users to retain full custody of their assets while paying anywhere Visa is accepted.

About the role and team
The Head of Finance is a key position responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the Gnosis Pay Team. This individual will play a pivotal role in setting all mechanisms to run finance, ensuring regulatory compliance within the crypto and payment industry, and providing insightful financial guidance to support the company’s growth and financial health.

• Own the P&L: Take full ownership of the company’s profit and loss, driving financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Partner closely with the Head of Gnosis Pay to align financial strategy with business goals.

• Drive product and financial innovation: Support the product roadmap through ideation and development of new financial products and internal tools to improve efficiency and scalability.

• Oversee financial operations: Manage day-to-day activities including clearing & settlement, collateral management, invoicing, treasury operations, cash flow management, and liquidity planning.

• Ensure accurate financial reporting: Lead reporting processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.

• Maintain regulatory compliance: Work closely with legal and compliance teams to meet all regulatory requirements across financial operations.

• Manage external financial relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with banking partners, exchanges, and other financial institutions.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with leadership and teams across operations, legal, and tech to support decision-making and execution.

• Monitor industry trends: Stay up to date on crypto/blockchain developments, including regulations, market trends, and innovations.

• Implement risk management frameworks: Design and enforce policies to safeguard company assets and ensure financial stability.
  

• Experience 6-8 years as a Financial Controller, or similar role with fintech companies or banks

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards

• Excellent leadership, planning, and decision-making skills

• Knowledge in cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and DeFi desired

• Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

• Professional certifications (CPA, CFA) are a plus
