What You’ll Do
• Develop highly reliable Power solutions for Cisco’s networking products
• Responsible for all design aspects of the BMP System under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Developing and qualifying BMP and FEP Systems to meet the power requirements of new products.
• Participating in and analyzing power design verification test data.
• Developing and executing test plans for upcoming power designs
• Documenting procedures, plans, and specifications used by the BMP and FEP team.
• Ensuring that all hardware engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization’s established policies and objectives.
• Assisting in the resolution of power related field / product issues for assigned projects.
Qualifications
Education: Applicable for Students graduating in 2026 only.
Master’s / M.Tech degree in Power Electronics / Electronics Engineering.
Technical Skills
• Knowledge of power electronics fundamentals, including power switching
devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs) and gate drivers.
• Familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and LTSPICE.
• Understanding of analog and digital circuit principles.
Area of Interest
• Analog and digital hardware circuit and system design involving power
electronics and associated technologies.
• Power Electronics topologies (Buck, Boost, Buck-boost, Fly-back, forward, LLC
etc,) circuits, systems, components, and control involving hardware and
software.
• Circuit and system design involving analog and digital circuits and systems,
digital logic and Boolean algebra, component selection & data sheet analysis,
power & signal integrity, stability, eRiciency, reliability, single- point-of-failure
tolerance, plus software development involving microcontrollers (uC) and digital
signal processors (DSP).
• Research and product/technology development for requirements, problem
solving, new and advanced technology development in circuits, systems,
processes, components, etc.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout and routing plus with component symbol
development.
• Writing product/project requirements, specifications, proposals, presentations,
procedures, project documentation, reports, technical/white papers.
Soft Skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
