Who is Risk Labs?

Risk Labs is the foundation and core team behind the UMA and Across projects. UMA and Across are decentralized protocols governed by community members across the globe in DAOs, and are supported by Risk Labs Foundation. UMA’s optimistic oracle (OO) can record any verifiable truth or data onto a blockchain.

Across is a cross-chain bridge for L2s and rollups secured by UMA’s OO.

Job Description

Where do you fit in?

We are looking for an experienced frontend lead to join our team. You will have the opportunity to lead the effort on turning design into reality across a variety of projects. This role requires the dynamism to work on quick proof-of-concept projects or within a methodical product development cycle depending on the objective, all while leading a small pod of frontend developers as their technical mentor and manager.

As a frontend lead working on both Across and UMA, you will architect and shape the user experience across many dApps and be an integral part of how people interact with our products. This will require sharp time management skills and the ability to scope and triage your own work in collaboration with your team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the frontend team to scope and build fresh, delightful, snappy applications.

• Manage the developers on your team with empathy and accountability.

• Represent your team when collaborating with product, design, and other engineering teams.

• Expand on the work of other developers by diving into existing codebases to add features or fix bugs.

• Write code in a highly collaborative open source ecosystem. In depth reviews of others’ contributions is expected with a focus on helping others grow their technical expertise.

Requirements

• 4+ years full-time experience with frontend development in React.

• Passion for blockchain technology, cryptoeconomic protocol design, game theory, or decentralized finance.

• Demonstrated ability to learn new technology, solve problems, and build software.

• Experience with technical leadership and people management.

• Experience with the following technologies (in order of importance): React, viem, ethers, Typescript, NextJS and Vercel, Solidity/EVM.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay packages include competitive salaries & meaningful token options.

• Salaries for this role range from $150-200k (USD), and your token allocation can grow with your voting rewards while you participate in the growing ecosystem.
