We are building a real-time marketplace for AI inference that matches spare GPU capacity inside data centers with demand from developers building AI-powered applications. We currently operate the world’s largest distributed GPU cluster, with over 5,000 GPUs, hundreds of individual operators, and millions of gigabytes of VRAM connected to the network at any given moment.

About the Role

As a Founding Sales Development Representative (SDR) at inference.net, you’ll help shape our early sales motion and scale adoption of our serverless LLM APIs by engaging with founders, CTOs, and engineering leaders at fast-growing companies. Your primary focus will be identifying, qualifying, and converting opportunities—helping innovative companies access the computational power they need at affordable prices.

This is a high-volume role that demands persistence, creativity, and precision. You’ll play a key role in laying the foundation for our sales organization and have opportunities to grow with the team as we scale.

The ideal candidate is a top-performing sales development professional with strong technical aptitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited by the transformative potential of AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify new sales opportunities through multi-channel prospecting (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Use creative, high-impact tactics to engage and convert cold prospects

  • Convert outbound and inbound interest into commercial contracts alongside CEO

  • Manage prospects and opportunities through our CRM systems

  • Help establish the foundational processes, tools, and workflows for our early sales motion

  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product development

  • Build deep knowledge of the AI infrastructure market and our competitive landscape

  • Represent inference.net at industry events

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–2 years of relevant SDR or BDR experience with a proven track record of exceeding goals

  • Comfortable with high-volume outreach and prospecting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with sales tools like Apollo, Pipedrive, Clay, and Attio

  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to work independently while contributing to team goals

  • Ability to quickly understand complex concepts and explain them clearly to prospects

  • Desire to work with highly technical teams and products

  • Technical background, education, or experience (degree in technical field preferred)

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling technical or infrastructure products

  • Experience using automation tools (like n8n) to streamline workflows

  • Understanding of developer tools and workflows

  • Familiarity with the startup ecosystem

  • Understanding of the modern GPU compute market

Compensation

We offer competitive compensation, equity in a high-growth startup, and comprehensive benefits. The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $90,000–$130,000, including a competitive base salary and uncapped commission.

Location

This is an in-person role based in our downtown San Francisco office.
