About the role

This is a unique opportunity for a Finance & Operations Analyst to join our fast-growing business focusing on key day-to-day Finance & Operations functions.

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years as an Accountant, Business or Finance Analyst in either Public Practice or Private Enterprise.
  • Ideally holds or working toward post-graduate qualification such as Chartered Accountant, Certified Practicing Accountant, Certificate IV in Book Keeping or another post-graduate Accounting or Finance qualification.
  • Basic SQL proficiency preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven problem-solver who breaks down ambiguity into bite-sized, actionable steps—resourceful improviser when plans pivot.
  • Relationship-builder who effortlessly aligns stakeholders with clear, persuasive communication.
  • Startup-ready hustler who is energised by chaos, thrives in fast-paced environments, and gets things done (even when “process” is a work-in-progress).
  • Genuine interest in fintech, blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Reporting to the Finance & Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-end bookkeeping including accounts payable, payroll, BAS lodgements, bank reconciliations and basic month-end accounting
  • Treasury and banking tasks including management of fiat and digital currency floats and initiating payments and transfers as required
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports and board packs
  • Assist with preparation of tax lodgements
  • Ad-hoc business analysis and monitoring of business metrics
  • Assist with preparation of financial and other information requests from current and potential investors
  • Assist with reporting to regulatory bodies as required
  • Assist with preparation of grant applications e.g. R&D
  • Assist with HR and employment related tasks such as drafting contracts
  • Assist with drafting, amending and monitoring adherence to company policies & procedures
  • Assist with management of ISO and SOC compliance and ISMS platform and security audits
  • Assist with basic programming and product related tasks
