What do we do?

Chainflip is building the next generation of native cross-chain financial infrastructure, starting with seamless asset swapping and now expanding into cross-chain lending.

We enable users to swap major crypto assets like BTC, ETH, and SOL across chains — without wrapped tokens— and have already processed over $4 billion in trades since launch. Chainflip achieves this by running its own blockchain and a network of validators that control vaults across multiple ecosystems, making the user experience smooth, secure, and fast.

Now, we’re building a generalised cross-chain lending product, allowing users to borrow and lend native assets like BTC, ETH, or USDC directly, with no friction and no need to wrap, bridge, or manage multiple wallets. We’re a team of 30, deeply experienced and passionate about solving problems in crypto. What’s the Job?

We are seeking an experienced financial professional to join our team as a Finance Manager. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work directly with our leadership team, giving you a front-row seat to strategic decision-making while owning critical financial operations. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the finance function, gain unique exposure to both traditional and crypto finance, and play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth in a fast-evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations across fiat and crypto, including accounting, treasury, tax, and FP&A;
  • Prepare and review financial statements and tax filings under German GAAP and tax law, in collaboration with external tax advisors;
  • Administer payroll (Lodas) in compliance with wage tax and social security requirements;
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance;
  • Manage both on- and off-chain treasury operations;
  • Serve as primary liaison with banks, tax advisors, regulators, and tax authorities;
  • Lead tax audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements.

Who should apply?

This is the role is for you if you

  • Are based in Europe and open to calling Berlin your new home;
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/taxation or related field;
  • Have at least 5 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles such as Finance Manager or Head of Finance;
  • Have strong knowledge of German GAAP and German tax law (particularly VAT and wage tax)
  • Are business fluent in both German and English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Have experience with crypto accounting & tracking (e.g. Tres Finance) in a cross-chain environment.

Additionally, plus points for

  • Having experience with managing crypto in a non-custodial setup
  • Having experience with Budgeting, Planning & Controlling is a plus

The Process

Screening Call: If selected, you’ll have a short screening call with our COO.

Follow Up Call: You will meet our CFO and discuss main tasks and responsibilities.
