Your Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Associate/Manager, you will work directly with our finance and operations leaders to build, run and scale Midas’ finance function and workflows:
- Planning & Reporting: Drive budgeting and financial planning with our leadership team; develop state-of-the-art reporting to support strategic decisions, fundraising and investor relations
- Annual Accounts & Audits: Prepare financial statements and support annual audits and tax filings in working with our accounting, tax and audit partners
- Finance Ops: Own core financial operations including preliminary accounting, accounts payable, payroll and monthly closing processes across various platforms
- Crypto Accounting: Help us build and scale our crypto valuation and accounting processes leveraging automation tools and service providers
- Treasury: Manage treasury functions, overseeing liquidity, wallet and exchange balances, as well as crypto-to-fiat conversions to ensure optimal cash flow and capital allocation
- Vendor Management: Support vendor selection and procurement processes, drive vendor onboardings and help us work with best-in-class providers
- Special Projects: Support strategic projects such as the setup of new entities, submitting securities filings or implementing new systems and processes
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Business, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience working in startup finance, audit or accounting
- Diligent, proactive, and highly detail-oriented style of working
- Ownership mindset and the ability to self-organize
- Experience working in crypto industry preferred
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis
- Proficiency in German accounting standards (HGB)
- Based in EU time zone
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
