About The Role

We’re looking for a Finance Executive based in the Philippines to join our regional hub. You’ll work closely with regional finance team to handle day-to-day finance operations across entities.

Core Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Process and manage supplier payments across entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to credit terms.
• Prepare and distribute weekly AP settlement schedules.
• Coordinate with procurement on PO matching and invoice registration in accounting system.

Collections & Receivables

• Follow up on outstanding payments and verifying customer payments in coordination with Collections and Customer Experience teams.
• Identify and escalate unidentified receipts for timely resolution.
• Record and reconcile payments in the accounting system against bank statements.

Bank & Payment Reconciliation

• Perform payment gateway and bank reconciliation, ensuring all transactions are accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Perform regular bank reconciliation and investigate discrepancies.

Revenue & Financial Reporting

• Support the month-end closing process to ensure close activities are completed accurately and within required timelines.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for monthly financial reporting. Record recurring journal entries and accruals as required.

Month-End Support

• Assist with month-end closing activities to maintain a timely account target.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation.

Others

• Document finance processes and contribute to building standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the regional finance function.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in finance operations. Actively participate in cross-departmental automation and system integration initiatives.
• Provide support on ad hoc finance tasks and projects as required by supervisor.

Growth Opportunity

As Cinch expands into the Philippines market, this role may evolve to support the setup of local finance and accounting infrastructure, including assisting with regulatory compliance, tax filings, and coordination with local service providers. Opportunity to be the founding finance team member for our Philippines entity.

Required Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in a finance/accounting operations role (AP, AR, reconciliations)
• Hands-on experience with cloud accounting software (Xero and Netsuite are strongly preferred)
• Strong Excel skills (reconciliations, data manipulation, pivot tables)
• Knowledge of IFRS or SFRS accounting frameworks
• Comfortable working remotely across time zones with Singapore-based team
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on transactional volume
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is highly preferred or, experience working in a startup, fintech, or other high-growth environment
• Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations, BIR compliance, and statutory filings.
