The Monad Foundation is a team of dedicated ecosystem and community builders who are on a mission to massively grow the impact of decentralized tech. We believe that the Monad blockchain–the performant and parallel EVM Layer 1–will help decentralized apps eat the world.

The Role (3 Month Contract-to-Perm)

As Events Associate, you’ll be the hands-on force supporting all event operations with a focus on events hosted at The Studio by Monad Foundation in NYC. From staging a speaker panel to resetting lounge furniture, you’ll help ensure the event space is welcoming, professional, and production-ready. You will also provide administrative support to the Global Events team, assisting with scheduling, communications, and various ad hoc tasks as needed.

This role is ideal for someone with physical production experience such as theater tech, hospitality, or live events who loves the adrenaline of showtime and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

You will report into Global Events and work alongside Operations, The Studio, and other cross-functional teams to support business and ecosystem strategy through hosted events.

This is an opportunity to learn how high-caliber events are executed from concept to close. You’ll gain exposure to logistics, production, AV, and creative direction — with room to grow as the organization’s events program expands.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the planning and execution of team-hosted and sponsored events hosted in The Studio events space

    • Occasional assistance outside events (e.g. conference side events)

  • Assist in gathering event requirements, coordinating logistics, and ensuring readiness of the space, materials, and vendors

  • Maintain physical inventory and assist in updating event checklists, templates, and pre- and post-event documentation to ensure consistency and quality across events

  • Lead physical set up for events, including element construction, furniture set up, asset assembly, and staging

  • Help track budgets, place orders, maintain vendor relationships, and capture event data (e.g. attendance, photography, feedback) for hosted events

Who You Are

  • 1–2 years in live event production, theater tech, hospitality, or similar relevant experience

  • Familiarity with standard workplace tech stack (e.g. Google Workspace, Notion, Luma, Linear)

  • Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication, including note-taking and scheduling ability

  • Ability to comfortably lift 50 lbs, move furniture, and be on your feet for up to 12 hours at a time

  • Working knowledge and comfortable usage of power tools, event lighting, and basic AV systems (XLR cables, wireless mics, mixers, HDMI routing, live soundchecks, projector setup)

  • Personable and remains calm under pressure, with the ability to think and react quickly

Nice to Have

  • Experience with photo/video equipment and interest in supporting event-related social media (live updates, BTS footage) using livestream tools (OBS, Restream, Zoom Webinars).

  • Knowledge of editing tools like Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud for graphics or signage

Schedule Expectations

  • This role requires flexible and sometimes irregular hours, especially around events (occasional evenings and weekends)

  • In-office hours will be planned around ongoing events. Typical schedule will vary and be discussed weekly with manager.

  • You will work from our beautiful NYC office 5x days a week

Why Work with Us

  • Challenging problems. You’ll work on extremely challenging problems with massive impact.

  • Huge opportunity. The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) standard is ubiquitous, but existing EVM-compatible chains are slow and bandwidth-constrained. Monad’s core innovations offer developers the best of both worlds (portability and performance) and are a game-changer for mass user adoption in crypto.

  • The right team. You’ll be part of an exceptional and highly-motivated team

  • Culture. We’re a lean team working together to achieve very ambitious goals. We are united in our culture of collaboration, low ego, and high-quality output. As an early member of our team, you’ll help continue to shape our culture.
