Job Description

Based in Belfast or London, this position will primarily support Cboe’s global corporate stewardship efforts, including the publishing of Cboe’s Corporate Stewardship Report and facilitating regulatory reporting of emissions. The further expansion and improvement our corporate stewardship program in lockstep with our global expansion is critical. The position will also provide additional support for the Department’s other activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on data management, including identifying types of data, sources and management systems for reporting and disclosures and manage the collection process for our global environmental data
  • Assist in the preparation of the organization’s annual Corporate Stewardship Report
  • Monitor emerging regulations and best-practices globally with respect to global environmental data
  • Assist in the development of programs, policies and initiatives to meet mandatory disclosure requirements
  • Work with other departments as needed, potentially including implementation of policies, vendor/customer survey responses, etc.
  • Prepare internal communications to highlight recent sustainability initiatives, best practices for green offices, etc.
  • Consult and coordinate with third party consultants on initiatives as required
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested
  • Conduct research and prepare handouts on various policy topics in support of Cboe’s general advocacy efforts.

Work Experience and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2+ years of professional experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in sustainability or sustainability consulting role within financial industry preferred, but not required
  • Understanding of and/or interest in sustainability and reporting landscape along with familiarity with relevant disclosure frameworks
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, able to prioritize and work independently
  • Go-getter, rigorous, flexible, and with good people skills
  • Capable of working with many different stakeholders
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a challenging workload
