The Opportunity
- We’re looking for a highly capable, electrical draftman. This role is open to all nationalities (UAE / Gulf experience preferred).
What you’ll do
- Prepare accurate electrical shop drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Perform MEP coordination with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, structural, and interior design drawings to eliminate clashes.
- Create and update Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP) with lighting fixtures, outlets, and coordination details.
- Develop wall coordination drawings showing electrical outlets, switches, conduits, trunking, and cable trays.
- Prepare and maintain load schedules, panel schedules, and cable schedules.
- Ensure all drawings comply with DEWA regulations, UAE standards, and project specifications.
- Revise drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, RFIs, and authority feedback.
- Support electrical engineering team in preparing material submittals and shop drawing packages.
- Maintain organized drawing registers, version control, and document control processes.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of drafting experience in MEP projects (villa, residential, low-rise & mid-rise buildings preferred).
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP (mandatory).
- Good understanding of DEWA standards, UAE building codes, and electrical design principles.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of load calculation basics and panel scheduling.
- Detail-oriented with strong coordination and time-management skills.
- Good English communication (Arabic is a plus).
