We’re hiring a DevRel who lives at the intersection of Solana, EVM development, and zero-knowledge systems. This is not a “tweet-and-walk-away” DevRel role – it’s a technical, hands-on engineering position focused on helping developers build on top of our infrastructure.
You’ll be the connective tissue between our engineering team and the ecosystem. You’ll build, break, explain, teach, and ship all while representing cutting-edge infra in the most dynamic ecosystem in crypto.
Responsibilities
Core DevRel Work
- Create high-quality technical content: tutorials, example repos, demos, deep dives, architecture breakdowns.
- Design and execute the second season of the Neon EVM developer bootcamp.
- Host regular workshops, webinars, Twitter Spaces, community calls, hackathon office hours.
- Build sample dApps that show off the engine’s capabilities.
- Work closely with marketing to translate deep technical concepts into developer-friendly educational materials.
Engineering & Ecosystem Integration
- Write Solidity smart contracts and EVM examples to showcase Neon EVM.
- Write Solana programs (primarily Rust) for demonstrating complex DeFi operations, account models, and execution flows.
- Design and publish end-to-end technical guides.
- Collaborate with core engineers on improvements, tooling, and dev experience.
Community & Ecosystem Engagement
- Be present across Solana and multi-chain developer communities (Discords, GitHub, Hacker Houses, hackathons).
- Build relationships with ecosystem builders, infra teams, and DeFi founders.
- Identify and prioritize developer needs; bring feedback back into the product roadmap.
- Represent the project at conferences and technical events (talks, workshops, AMAs).
Required Technical Skills
Solana
- Deep familiarity with the Solana programming model:
. – accounts model, PDAs, CPIs, account constraints
– compute units, CU budgeting, priority fees, account metas
– Anchor framework and/or raw Rust
- Built and deployed multiple real-world Solana programs (not mandatory but highly desired).
EVM & Solidity
- Strong knowledge of Solidity and EVM internals (gas model, opcodes, contract architecture).
- Comfortable writing and explaining smart contracts (ERC-20/721/1155, router logic, DeFi primitives, etc.).
- Understanding of how EVM execution differs from Solana’s parallel execution and account model.
Zero-Knowledge
- Demonstrated interest in ZK: SNARKs, STARKs, proof systems, zkVMs, proving/verification flows.
- Understanding of how ZK can be used for execution validation, batching, compute compression, or state proofs.
Tooling & Diagnostics
- RPC deep knowledge: logs, CU usage, retries, simulation, etc.
- Familiar with the Solana and Ethereum tooling stacks
- Comfortable reading low-level logs and debugging complex cross-program behavior.
Soft Skills & Profile
- You love teaching engineers.
- You communicate like a human, not a spec sheet.
- You ship fast and iterate.
- You’re comfortable being the public technical face of a fast-moving infra project.
- You understand that DevRel is half engineering, half storytelling.
- You thrive in ambiguity and don’t need hand-holding.
- You have opinions about Solana’s execution model, and you’re not scared to voice them.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with ZK systems in practice
- Contributed to open-source Solana or Ethereum projects.
- Previous DevRel experience (not required, but a bonus).
- Public speaking experience or published technical writing.
- Understanding of MEV, transaction batching, order flow, and DEX execution logic.
Success Metrics
- Developer adoption: number of new builders integrating the engine.
- Documentation quality & clarity.
- GitHub activity: sample repos, tutorials, quickstarts.
- Community engagement: hackathon participation, inbound developer questions reduced over time.
- External integrations: number of ecosystem projects building with or on top of our infrastructure.
