About the role

We are seeking a DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work on the DevOps team alongside Engineering, Development and Operations teams, as well as the CISO/CTO and will be responsible for reducing “cycle times”, increasing automation, implementing secrets management, and helping Compass transition to immutable infrastructure.

Additionally, you will be building systems to: increase visibility, improve our ability to detect security and availability issues, as well as tools to help our support and engineering staff remediate issues faster.

Responsibilities

• Manage our PostgreSQL databases, backups, etc.
• Monitor and improve query performance.
• Reduce cycle times for internal organizations with increased automation and better integration between SaaS/PaaS systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with PostgreSQL (required)
• Experience in one or more current functional and/or object-oriented languages such as Javascript, Python, Java, Go, Rust, etc.
• Experience using Linux and writing bash scripts.
• Experience with virtualization and containers.
• Familiarity with configuration tools: Terraform, Chef, Ansible, or similar
• tools.
• Experience with incident response, reporting and root cause analysis.

Experience with PostgreSQL is required.

Pay range (Ireland, Netherlands): 55,000.00 – 80,000.00 euros per year
