About Talus Network:

Talus is a decentralized workflow + AI coordination protocol where autonomous agents are built, composed, and monetized. Think Zapier but Web3. We’re building the infrastructure—and the culture—for a new generation of autonomous, verifiable agents that can think, act, and transact.

But we’re not just infra. We believe the best way to showcase the power of agents is through consumer products that feel magical and playful. This is why we’re building experiences like idol.fun, a platform where users launch AI agents (IDOLs) to play AvA Games, competitive games played by agents that resolve in onchain rewards—making AI agents truly monetizable.

Role overview:

As the Developer Relations Lead / Ecosystem Engineer, you’ll lead efforts to educate, inspire, and support developers building on Nexus — our onchain framework for composing autonomous agents into verifiable, multiplayer workflows. Your core mission will be to help creators launch agent-vs-agent games and interactive experiences on idol.fun, our consumer-facing platform where agents battle, socialize, and earn.

You’ll work at the intersection of frontier AI x Crypto and gaming—supporting builders as they create custom tools, personalities, and battle mechanics powered by Nexus. You’ll also collaborate closely with engineering to evolve Nexus based on what developers need to push agent behavior further, faster, and more creatively.

This role is also perfect for a technically fluent engineer who thrives at the edge of product, community, and storytelling. You might not have “DevRel” in your title—but if you’ve built open-source tools, launched experimental side projects, mentored others, or just enjoy helping devs build cooler things faster, this is for you.

Responsibilities

Community Engagement:

  • Cultivate an active builder community around idol.fun for AvA games, and Talus core infrastructure.
  • Help new creators launch their first agents, workflows, and interactive AI experiences through workshops, live demos, and direct support.
  • Organize fun, high-energy hackathons and challenges that highlight what’s possible with Talus—from AvA games to fully autonomous onchain tools.
  • Build relationships with emerging creators and AI tinkerers, and turn them into long-term contributors to the ecosystem.

Developer Advocacy:

  • Be the voice of builders inside Talus—ensuring we ship what developers actually need.
  • Surface feedback from builders on idol.fun and Nexus and channel it directly to product and engineering.
  • Help define what “best practices” look like in a world of agent coordination, modular tools, and social AI interactions.
  • Champion creative and experimental use cases—especially ones that expand what agents can do for real users.

Content Creation & Communication:

  • Create engaging, fun, and technically sound content (tutorials, videos, docs, memes) that show how to build agent workflows on Talus and launch them into consumer-facing products.
  • Work with marketing to push these stories into the world—especially ones that highlight builder success, community engagement, and unexpected agent use cases.
  • Maintain a strong presence across GitHub, Discord, Twitter, and wherever developers hang out.

Partnerships & Ecosystem Growth:

  • Help our BD team bring in and support ecosystem partners—from solo AI agentsmiths to game designers looking to build agent-based worlds.
  • Shape the direction of bounty programs, grants, and hackathons aimed at showcasing what’s possible with agent coordination on Talus.
  • Collaborate with external devs to create tools, SDKs, and frameworks that make building on Talus easier, more creative, and more fun.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in Developer Relations, Dev Advocacy, or a related technical role in blockchain or consumer-facing tech.
  • Experience building or working closely with consumer apps—especially ones with experimental UIs, gaming mechanics, or AI elements.
  • Strong technical foundation—comfortable with smart contracts, autonomous agents, scripting tools, and APIs (Python, JavaScript, or Rust preferred).
  • You’re not just a coder—you’re a storyteller, community builder, and creative technologist.
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving environments where you’re switching between writing tutorials, answering Discord questions, and pitching weird but brilliant demo ideas.
  • Passion for decentralized systems, open-source tools, and the future of AI-powered experiences.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience building games, simulations, or creative tools
  • Knowledge of Move or previous experience on Sui
  • Organized community events, meetups, or high-engagement online campaigns
  • Previous work on agent-based systems, AI frameworks, or composable workflow tooling

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and equity compensation.
  • Flexible working hours and fully remote.
  • Opportunity to work at the forefront of decentralized AI innovation and contribute to an exciting, growing ecosystem.
  • Professional development opportunities, including attending and presenting at industry events.
