In this role, you will produce 1-2 high-quality written pieces per week and ad-hoc writings, to generate traffic and enhance our brand’s presence in the crypto and DeFi world. This position offers remote work and flexible hours.About OpenOceanOpenOcean is the TOP3 leading DEX aggregator, integrating the most liquidity sources across a wide range of blockchains into one seamless trading interface, to bring users the best swap return for decentralized crypto trading.About RoleJob Title: DeFi Content Writer (part-time)Company: OpenOceanLocation: Remote & flexible hoursContact: career@openocean.financeResponsibilities- Research and write top-quality, public-facing content about the DeFi industry, including long-form articles and educational materials (1-2 pieces/week), and ad-hoc writings.- Conduct simple online research to supplement written content.- Analyze competitors’ content to identify opportunities.- Stay current with crypto and industry trends, consistently contributing innovative ideas to content creation.- Break down complex concepts or processes to enhance reader comprehension (using diagrams, charts, and pictures to simplify understanding).- Conduct keyword/topic research to identify trending subjects in the DeFi space.Requirements- In-depth knowledge of the DeFi ecosystem, including key protocols, projects, and concepts.- Genuine interest in cryptocurrency, blockchains, and other Web 3.0 technologies.- Self-motivation, proactivity, quick learning abilities, as the DeFi space evolves rapidly, it’s necessary to continue learning and stay updated on industry trends and news.- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, and the ability to work independently.- Strong writing skills, ensuring content is accessible to a diverse audience, engaging, informative, and accurate.- Familiarity with SEO best practices and social media platforms.- Proficiency in simplifying complex topics in writing and visually through diagrams.Preferred (but not required):Prior experience in content writing, especially in the DeFi or cryptocurrency spaceCurrently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant field, such as finance, economics, or journalism.Preferably knowledgeable on Google Analytics, SEMrush, or other SEO tools, specifically long tail phrase and keyword placement2 years experience in DeFiTo Apply:Interested candidates should submit the following to career@openocean.finance:An up-to-date resume/CV.Two sentences explaining your interest in DeFi and why you are a good fit for this role.Two writing samples showcasing your ability to write about DeFi topics.Your Twitter handle (optional)
