The Data Science team is responsible for deriving data-driven insights to support World’s key decisions. Because of our unique growth model of using a global network of Orb Operators to verify individuals’ unique humanness, we require a high-performing Data Science team that is able to manage and analyze large amounts of data generated by our products and operations. World’s privacy-maximizing approach imposes unique restrictions on how data is collected, stored, and used, making data science innovations critical to derive useful insights. About the Opportunity:
As our first Data Analyst, you will support and collaborate with an existing team of three Data Scientists and a Statistician. You will work alongside the Data Scientists to build data-driven models and generate insights through data analysis and reporting. The role has a strong focus on Business Intelligence, as the Data Science team and its stakeholders rely heavily on BI reporting and data visualization to make key decisions in fast-paced environments. In addition to working closely with the core members of the Data Science team, you will also engage and collaborate with other teams within the broader Data Science & Economics group, including Economics and Fraud & Risk Analytics.
In this role, you will:
Contribute to the Business Intelligence (BI) efforts of the Data Science (DS) team, including maintaining and enhancing existing KPIs and dashboards.
Work with diverse and exciting datasets spanning the Product space (e.g., user in-app behavior, notifications, experiments), blockchain transactions, and market operations.

About You:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field like economics, computer science, statistics, or similar
4+ years of hands-on work experience as a data analyst; experience in start-ups or fast paced environments is a plus
Extensive experience in business intelligence (in particular data visualization); experience with BI tools like Metabase, Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI is a plus
Passionate about high-quality data visualizations that are accessible to non-experts, maintained with high attention to detail
Good understanding of business economics and financial concepts; prior experience working with economic/financial data a plus
Advanced working knowledge of SQL; knowledge of DBT is a plus.
Programming experience in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python)
Experience in data wrangling needed to transform complex, noisy datasets into a form suitable for analysis
Must be curious and autonomous in their work, with a strong sense of ownership being essential.
