We are a fully remote team with members working across various countries, all coming together to create an amazing product to support international companies and professionals.

About the Country Manager Role

The Country Manager will do a marketing competitive analysis and specify the product so that it is tailored to the local market. They will partner with the team across Higlobe to build the product and help develop marketing plans to launch and grow the client base in the local market. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, results-oriented individual who is able to lead teams and get things done in a fast-paced environment. The Country Manager will also assist the Managing Director, regulators, and develop partnerships with local banks and exchanges.

NOTE: This position will start as a part-time role and move into a full-time role once the product has launched.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement the country marketing strategy and local market competitive analysis.
  • Develop and execute the country growth strategy and business plan aimed to meet the business volume, revenue and margin targets, derived from the global company-wide business plan
  • Maintain and achieve/exceed country targets for number of clients and total volume of payments in each of our products
  • Represent Higlobe by managing and monitoring brand activity within country and by representing the company in the local market at events, in the local media, on social networks and at events she/he organizes
  • Eventually build operational teams, such as Customer Service operations, to support various payment products
  • Align and sync country activities with other org functions (product, marketing, etc.)
  • Act as main point of contact for Country in relationship with other team owners (until the time they choose to hire their own staff in country)
  • Perform as an excellent leader and collaborator within the team and overall org

Requirements

  • Native language(s) and fluent, business-level English
  • Proven experience in marketing sales and/or business development in payments, e-commerce and ideally cross-border freelancing
  • Strong social media marketing and influencer marketing capabilities
  • Good relationship management skills (relationship builder)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written, listening, speaking, reading)
  • Ability to make decisions in a changing environment, anticipate future needs and drive results
  • Experience working in multinational environment (collaborating with remote teams) a plus
  • Track record of business success
