What will you do?
1. Operations Leadership
- Drive all in-country operations for Qore Ethiopia — accountable for profit, revenue, cash flow, and quality targets.
- Lead planning, implementation, performance reporting, and managing in-country staff and partners.
- Establish local operational governance and ensure compliance with Ethiopian regulatory requirements (e.g., NBE, payment systems, fintech oversight).
2. Business Development
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Ethiopian financial services market — clients, competitors, regulatory environment, and digital opportunities.
- Build and nurture relationships with banks, microfinance institutions, fintechs, regulators, and ecosystem partners.
- Originate and manage a strong deal pipeline, identify new growth opportunities, and represent Qore as the strategic fintech partner.
3. Strategic Leadership
- Serve as Qore’s ambassador in Ethiopia. Provide market insights, feedback on the product roadmap, and localization of our value proposition.
- Craft and execute go-to-market strategies tailored for the Ethiopian market, including digital lending, agency banking, card issuance, and payments infrastructure.
- Manage strategic (top-down) and operational (bottom-up) stakeholder relationships across C-Suite, technology teams, and regional branches.
4. Day-to-Day Includes
- Sales & marketing: lead deal origination, market penetration, account planning.
- Ecosystem development: build partnerships with telecoms, payment processors, regulators, local SIs, and ISVs.
- In-country operations oversight: recruit & manage local team, ensure service delivery, and input to product localization.
- Reporting: provide frequent updates to the head office on pipeline, operations metrics, P&L performance, and strategic milestones.
