Job Description:

The Manager, Compliance – GRC will lead Compliance’s development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (“GRC”) framework tool, in collaboration with Risk and Internal Audit. This includes designing a robust GRC tool tailored to the needs of Cboe, facilitating the documentation of controls and mapping to regulations, and managing the control library and regulatory change management workflows. Additionally, the role involves developing applications and functionality to support GRC workflows, reporting, and dashboards. Effective project management, stakeholder communication, and company-wide education to ensure user engagement and support are also pivotal components of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the GRC tool (Onspring) development and implementation effort for Compliance, providing guidance on best practice design and strong data governance, working closely with Risk and Internal Audit.
  • Serve as a system administrator of the GRC tool, providing support, development, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with users across the company to create effective process and control documentation, load data into the GRC tool, and map to regulatory obligations and policies/procedures.
  • Facilitate use of regulatory obligation data feed (Ascent), mapping regulatory obligations to processes and controls.
  • Develop apps, reports, dashboards, workflows, and other functionality to support company GRC use cases.
  • Configure and validate GRC tool components (apps, fields, workflows, user roles, etc.).
  • Support development of control and regulatory change management workflows within the GRC tool.
  • Develop and maintain GRC design documents and job aids and support related policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate GRC leadership and user group meetings and provide regular updates on project status.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Monitoring Program (“CMP”), Policy Governance, and other Compliance teams to share information and coordinate on cross-functional topics like risk assessment/management, records management, policy and control reviews, and control testing/monitoring.
  • Provide training to users on the GRC tool.
  • Execute special project support, work, and other duties for the Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance leadership in advancement of divisional goals, requirements, and objectives.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Required Experience:

  • Significant experience building, implementing, and managing a GRC framework in Onspring or other GRC tool.
  • 8+ years of experience working in a complex regulated environment, in the field of compliance monitoring, internal audit, and/or risk management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent project leadership skills, including the ability to manage requirements from various stakeholders across the global organization.
  • Highly skilled in creating and implementing solutions, with a strong aptitude for developing, executing, and continuously enhancing the GRC framework through strategic problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear messaging targeted to different audiences.
  • Experience documenting business processes and controls.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments concurrently to be successful in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between Compliance, other control functions, and global business lines to ensure collaboration and coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with Jira and SharePoint is a plus.

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $110,500-$136,500. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time. If you live in one of the following areas or if you work in a Cboe office in the following areas, the range may be higher according to the geographic differentials listed below:

US Geographic Differentials:

  • 110%: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA

  • 115%: Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA

  • 120%: Boston MA, Washington DC

  • 125%: New York City NY

  • 130%: San Francisco CA

Within the range, individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
