We are a global remote company with an HQ in Miami, Florida.
As a Business Intelligence Engineer at QuickNode, you will have the opportunity to work directly with all business functions, from IC to VP-level stakeholders.
This role will fall under the DANA (Data Analytics and Automation) team, your primary responsibility is to support a data-driven decision-making culture within Quicknode. Additional day-to-day work will include developing data analyses to help inform and optimize decision-making, process optimization, and automating work. Defining and operationalizing the tracking of company-wide and department-specific KPIs, identifying patterns, and recommending actionable insights to improve how we build products and grow the business.
This role will be reporting directly to our Data Engineering Manager together you will identify ways to provide insightful access to all teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in working at startups, specifically “SaaS” companies and have dealt with a variety of industry-standard metrics such as MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, Churn, ACV, NPS, and more.
The ideal strengths we are looking for in this candidate are strong SQL and data modeling skills. This role will wear multiple hats and sometimes have to fill the role of an analytics engineer. Additionally, this role often requires handling multiple ad hoc requests weekly, necessitating frequent context switches. The candidate must be adept at managing this rapid pace and shift in direction without losing focus and productivity.
Another primary objective of this role is to enable self-service reporting further, reducing the team’s overall workload.
Building meaningful dashboards that are used frequently.
Proactively understanding business challenges and testing hypotheses for business recommendations.
Develop solutions that leverage Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to streamline and optimize processes and surface analytical insights.
Pull, organize, and analyze relevant data from multiple sources, using tools such as Metabase Tableau or Looker and SQL.
Design, architect, and develop data solutions that help product and business teams make data-driven decisions.
Influence data strategies and overall roadmap for building efficient data solutions and scalable data model plans.
Interface closely with data infrastructure, product, and engineering teams to build and extend cross-platform ETL and reports generation framework.
Deliver analytical, survey, or research results to technical and non-technical audiences and conduct ad hoc reporting as needed.
2+ years of experience in strategic cross-departmental analytics.
2+ years of SaaS experience working in a data role.
2+ years analyzing data using SQL & Python in addition to a visualization tool.
Experience with Snowflake AI & ML studio (preferably but not required).
Working knowledge of Hubspot, Salesforce and Stripe.
Advanced understanding of data visualization principles.
Experience navigating a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.
Experience communicating technical results to technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of an organization.
You are comfortable with challenging requirements.
The US base salary range and level for this position are $103,000 – $114,000 per year and level P1. International ranges, in local currency, will be discussed during the hiring process with applicable candidates. This role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to company and individual goal achievement. We consider years of experience, level of proficiency in job function, the technical competencies required and location when determining base salary ranges for positions and levels.
