Role Overview
As an Associate Product Manager at Integral, you’ll bridge the gap between accounting expertise and innovative financial product development. This high-autonomy role is ideal for accountants eager to transition into tech, leveraging their domain knowledge to address real customer pain points. You’ll collaborate in-office with a world-class product team and play a pivotal part in shaping the future of financial software for thousands of businesses.
Responsibilities
- Bridge user needs with technical solutions, translating complex financial workflows into clear product requirements for engineering.
- Leverage hands-on accounting expertise to deeply understand and solve customer pain points such as manual reconciliations and compliance headaches.
- Conduct user interviews, validate features with finance professionals, and transform insights into product improvements.
- Build user stories and acceptance criteria informed by real-world accounting experience.
- Guide product decisions with your understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and audit requirements.
- Partner with design and engineering to deliver intuitive solutions for financial reporting and compliance.
- Analyze user behavior data to identify friction points in workflows and inform product strategy.
- Own the development, launch, and adoption metrics for assigned platform features.

Your Experience
- 2-4 years in accounting (e.g., Staff Accountant, Junior Accountant), with direct experience using contemporary accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, Xero, etc.).
- Understanding of financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and audit processes.
- A track record of spotting workflow inefficiencies and driving improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to bridge business and technical teams.
- Empathy for finance team challenges and a problem-solving mindset for ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Bonus: Experience with fintech, SaaS, accounting software, or startups.

The base pay range for this role is CA$80,000-CA$120,000 per year.
