Our first product is the world’s cheapest credit card – backed by home equity. Job description
We’re hiring a field-based Area Sales Manager to drive Aven’s retail footprint across Los Angeles and surrounding regions. This role is boots on the ground. You’ll be building relationships in person, educating store managers, setting up marketing displays, and ensuring Aven adoption through direct engagement. You’ll be the tip of the spear for identifying and securing high-impact retail partnerships, building trust with store owners, and fueling adoption of our financing tools. This role is perfect for someone who’s energized by outreach, thrives in ambiguity, and wants to make a direct impact on the company’s growth trajectory.
Responsibilities
Canvass your assigned area (Greater LA & SoCal) to identify and pitch independent and chain retail stores
Grow retail distribution by increasing total points of distribution and driving account visit volume to meet growth targets
Oversee the first stage of the sales pipeline by performing cold outreach and nurturing leads through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person meetings
Ensure partners are successfully onboarded, trained, and supported to drive high-conversion experiences.
Manage sales pipeline, and act as the source of truth for all partner-related data in our CRM.
Make a remarkable first impression on potential partners by providing consistent value at every touchpoint
Champion growth opportunities internally through partnership initiatives
Qualification
Based in Los Angeles or surrounding SoCal region
Must have a car and valid driver’s license
Previous experience in field sales, CPG, or door-to-door territory management preferred
Grit and determination – ability to excel in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and hit ambitious targets
Proven track record of success in a quota-carrying role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in field sales or territory-based outreach is a strong plus.
