Our mission
We’re making Africa the first cashless continent.
In 2017, over half the population in Sub-Saharan Africa had no bank account. That’s for good reason—the fees are too high, the closest branch can be miles away, and nobody takes cards. Without access to financial institutions, people are forced to keep their savings under the mattress. Small business owners rely on lenders who charge extortionate rates. Parents spend hours waiting in line to pay school fees in cash.
We’re solving this by building financial services that just work: no account fees, instantly available, and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water and roads don’t always work, you can still send money with Wave. In 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments. Now, we have millions of users across 9 countries and are growing fast.
Our goal is to make Africa the first cashless continent and that’s where you come in…
How you’ll help us achieve it
Wave is now the largest financial institution in Senegal, with over 7 million users. And, we’re still in the early days of our product roadmap and potential impact on people’s everyday lives.
As an Agent Liquidity Admin Officer, you’ll be the key link between our liquidity team and our agents — ensuring smooth communication, seamless coordination, and efficient administrative support. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in keeping our agent network running effortlessly, while reporting directly to the Agent Liquidity Lead.
In this role, you’ll;
- Ensure the Liquidity team is on track daily regarding metrics and reports (end-of-day optimal closing balance, Cash collected/distributed, CIT slip form, Daily Premium Agencies volume, etc.).
- Manage the pre-funding, follow up with agents with calls, and ensure those in the red are sent in recovery at the right time.
- Ensure Cash House audits are submitted on time, and follow the closing balance of Case Houses.
- Limit or delimit Premium Agencies when necessary.
- Support the Agent Liquidity Lead in its activities by checking the forecasts and alerting them anytime there is a change in the business trend.
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with agents for optimal communication.
- Prepare settlement bulk SMS in due time to be sent to agents and Cash Officers for CIT collection/deliveries.
- Follow up agent settlements to identify and call those who have not settled with us the previous day, and call agents we have just settled cash with via bank to inform them that the cash is available.
- Maintain a proper tracking and archive spreadsheet for calls to agents who have not settled with us.
- Report any risk-related issues to your supervisor.
