Role: Accounts Payable Supervisor (Remote | Full Time)

The Accounts Payable Controller (FinTech sector) will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with industry, accounting and tax regulations, and optimising payment processes.

This role requires a strong understanding of digital finance, vendor management, and expense control within a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Manage vendor reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with FinTech regulations.
  • Optimise expense management processes, leveraging automation and digital payment solutions.
  • Ensuring invoices, reimbursements (expense claims), and staff advances are properly recorded in the systems (currency, entity).
  • Ensuring payment runs are sent to the Treasury team on time each week.
  • Ensuring corporate cardholders are submitting their receipts.
  • Owning and enforcing policies related to AP, expenses, corporate cards, and staff advances.
  • Ensuring that expenses/invoices requested for payment are within policy and rejecting requests which are outside of policy
  • Ensuring that accurate data syncs between various systems (Ramp and NetSuite / ERP, Bamboo HR and Zoho).
  • Ensuring bank transactions are tagged in NetSuite / EPP within month-end deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and liaise with vendors, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Leading and managing the AP team (1 x FinOps Analyst and 2 x Treasury Accountants).

Management:

  • Managing team members, monitoring performance and consistently providing feedback.
  • Responsible for coaching and developing junior members of your team.
  • Weekly 1:1 meeting with direct reports and formal quarterly performance reviews.
  • Fostering a culture of excellence, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within your team.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing teams – (team leader/supervisor/junior manager role).
  • Vendor Reconciliation: Strong experience in reconciling vendor accounts within digital finance platforms.
  • Expense Management: Proven ability to manage expenses efficiently in a tech-driven environment.
