Account Executive – Portfolio – Public Sector – UAE

Meet the Team:

As an Account Executive for the UAE Public Sector, you will be the strategic leader driving Cisco’s digital transformation initiatives across government entities and public institutions. You will own the entire sales cycle, from opportunity identification to deal closure, ensuring alignment with national digital agendas and Cisco’s portfolio. Your role is pivotal in building trusted C-suite relationships and orchestrating cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, integrated solutions that address critical public service challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to meet and exceed sales targets, expanding Cisco’s footprint within the UAE public sector.

• Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong C-level relationships, acting as a trusted advisor aligned with government digital transformation goals and regulatory requirements.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead and coordinate internal teams (engineering, services, partners) to deliver end-to-end solutions tailored to public sector needs.

• Contract Negotiation: Manage complex contract negotiations and oversee the full sales cycle to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Market Intelligence: Analyze market trends, policy changes, and procurement processes to proactively position Cisco as the preferred technology partner.

• Partner Ecosystem Development: Collaborate with partners to build a robust ecosystem that supports government procurement and project execution.

• Sales Tools Utilization: Leverage Cisco’s technology stack and AI-driven sales tools to enhance sales efficiency and pipeline accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related Technical field.

Minimum 7 years of technology sales experience, with a focus on Public Sector or Government accounts in the UAE or Middle East.

Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas in the region.

Fluency in English (written and verbal) and proficiency in Arabic.

Deep understanding of UAE public sector procurement, regulatory environments, and government digital transformation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree or MBA.

Experience selling cloud, security, and software-defined networking solutions.

Established network of relationships within UAE government and semi-government organizations.

Strong presentation and storytelling skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.

Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and lead through influence.
